Global Prosperity Summit (GPS), initiated by a group of local academic, business and thought leaders, is the first international geopolitical conference in Hong Kong to provide a platform for frank, objective and rational discussions of dominant issues impacting global prosperity. The first GPS was co-organised by the Savantas Policy Institute and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies in 2024.
By leveraging the city’s distinctive advantages of having strong support from the Mainland as well as an extensive international network, the Summit aims to enhance Hong Kong’s roles as a facilitator for dialogue and communication among parties with diverse interests and as an intermediary between Mainland China and the world, under “One Country, Two Systems”.

The Global Prosperity Summit (GPS) was successfully held in May 2024 and 2025, establishing itself as Hong Kong’s premier geopolitical conference. Over its first two editions, the Summit convened more than 500 distinguished thought leaders and guests for dynamic discussions on the most pressing issues shaping global prosperity. Among the eminent speakers was Professor Roger D. Kornberg, Nobel Laureate in Chemistry (2006), who delivered an inspiring keynote address at the inaugural meeting in 2024.
The Summit has consistently garnered strong media attention, achieving more than 200 positive news features annually and extensive global engagement across social media platforms.
Returning for its third consecutive year, GPS 2026 promises another compelling programme of forward-looking dialogues. This year’s edition will feature fresh perspectives on emerging topics such as innovative drug development and cryptocurrency, alongside other timely subjects. Building on the Summit’s robust foundations, GPS 2026 continues to reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a leading global hub for cross-disciplinary exchange, fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and advancing sustainable prosperity worldwide.
